The house is very clean, comfortable, very large spaces, communication with the host, super attentive, highly recommended, we had a great time, hoping to return soon

The house is roomy and inviting with plenty of beds and space to hang out. The folks in the neighborhood are friendly and always give a polite wave in passing. The nature trail makes for a peaceful walk through the woods and there are enough activities to keep everyone entertained at the house. Be sure to check out the Bullet Grill for great eats nearby! read less 

Kristin was very quick to respond and answer any question that I had about the lease agreement that I had to sign being that I’ve had to that do with any other Airbnb before and she was very patient with me getting an understanding of her process to be able to stay. The house is beautiful and has enough space for a large group of adults. Well kept and the beds are so comfy after a long hard day of work.

The boat house is an ideal spot for a multi-generation family gathering. It is so bright and clean with adorable lake themed decor. We loved the huge windows and natural light, and the French doors with the wrap around deck makes you feel part of nature even when you are inside. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, it was a quick and lovely walk to the lake (2 public access parks close by). We stayed with my in-laws and my 8yo daughter, and thought the lay-out of the house and amenities were PERFECT for enjoying time together, but spacious enough to allow people to have a space to be alone if desired. My daughter thought that the loft (with awesome lighting, gaming system) and spiral staircase were the most amazing thing she had ever seen, and she really wished she had another kid to play with. The loft is PERFECT for kids to enjoy, and gives the adults some privacy below (while still allowing them to keep an eye on the kiddos), and the garage fun zone (with pool table and darts) would have worked really well for a seperate group to enjoy and have total privacy from the rest of the group. We only had 5 people and wished we had brought more friends to enjoy this space. There is something for everyone here: some of us spent the days biking the trails at the Sam Houston Forest, my mother-in-law enjoyed working on some sewing projects in the lovely living room, my daughter enjoyed playing in the loft, endless shuffleboard, and games on the deck. We took leisurely afternoon walks around the neighborhood to picnic at the lake. I thoroughly enjoyed using the beautiful kitchen to cook in, and loved being able to fully interact with everyone while I cooked thanks to the open floor-plan. I highly recommend this spot for hanging with a group of friends or family. We enjoyed visiting the nearby (10 min) Coldspring for some meals at local restaurants and also were able to buy groceries in town.
